Yokai are monstrous creatures who roam Japan terrorizing its citizens. Until 16 years ago when the Yokai queen was defeated by a Yokai hunter. Yokai hunters hunt Yokai by using magic. Magic is given to people born with magic cores that let them perform these magic tasks. After defeating the Yokai queen all of the Yokai ceased to exist. But 16 years later Yokai reappear and chase after this boy and the Yokai hunter must help the boy to the defeat the monster within.
